Amazon’s Gaming Week is the mega-retailer’s latest promotional gambit, where they’re dropping prices on hardware and software until Cinco de Mayo. There’s a staggering amount of stuff on sale but we did the hard work and picked five of the deepest discounts on PC gaming gear, including a massive AMD processor discount, a huge curved Samsung monitor and more.
Most desktop PCs are big rectangles. If they’re for gaming, you can expect transparent panels and LEDs to add some razzle-dazzle, but that’s about it. In 2021, Alienware bucked the mold with the organic-looking rounded form factor of the Aurora R13, and although it’s not for everyone this gaming desktop is a solid pick, especially at 22% off. In our review, we said that it was “a nice option for many plug-and-play-minded shoppers who want a little flair, and a lot of power.” This configuration comes with an Intel Core i9-12900F processor, a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070Ti graphics card, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.
Billed as the world’s first “dual UHD” monitor by Samsung, this massive beast is the equivalent of two 4K monitors clued together and given a gentle 1000R bend to mimic the curvature of the human eye. We gave it an “Excellent” rating in our review, praising its 240Hz peak refresh rate and massive screen, but cautioned that “only a bleeding-edge gaming PC with specific outputs can maximize its high-refresh-rate potential.” If you got a big tax refund and are constructing your dream gaming station, this is the monitor you’re going to want, especially at $700 off.
Taking 55% off is an unbeatable deal on this powerhouse processor with a ton of good features. You can read our review for all the benchmarking detail you want on the Ryzen 7 5700G, but in short we said it was an “integrated-graphics-equipped, eight-core workhorse CPU of major proportions, slaying gaming records with its Radeon silicon alone” before giving it an Editors’ Choice award and an “Outstanding” rating. It even comes with an AMD Wraith Stealth cooler in the box so you don’t have to invest in additional temperature control. For a 1080p gaming box, this is the perfect pick, especially at $163.
We all know that keyboard and mouse is the superior way to play most PC games, but if you’re into console ports or emulation you’re going to need a gamepad. Amazon’s Gaming Week has some serious price drops on input devices, but the best is a 43% discount on Acer’s wired gaming controller. USB input means faster response time than Bluetooth, and XInput support means that it works natively with Windows and Android devices, including vibration. Customizable turbo buttons and ergonomic handgrips make it a pleasure to use.

There are a few Asus laptops on offer during Amazon Gaming Week, but the deepest discount comes on the A15. This is a 15.6″ powerhouse running off of an AMD Ryzen 7 7940HS processor and an RTX 4070 graphics card, making it easily capable of playing modern titles at high frame rates. The screen keeps up ably, with a max refresh rate of 144Hz display with adaptive sync support. 100% sRGB color matching means your games will look gorgeous, and two 84-blade Arc Flow Fans keep the internals cool. This configuration comes with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.
