The good folks over at r/buildapc on Reddit are hosting an RTX 4080 Super community PC building contest, and they have support from Nvidia to make it a reality – the high-end build will even be put together for you. One lucky person will have the chance to win a gaming PC worth up to $3,000 and have it showcased in a GeForce Garage video in future.
So, if you’re feeling lucky, you may want to hold out on finding where to buy the RTX 4080 Super, especially if you’re interested in a completely new build. We’ve already put together a guide to the best RTX 4080 prebuilt gaming PCs in case you don’t end up winning. Without further ado, let’s get into the details of this exciting contest.
How to join the RTX 4080 Super build contest
To celebrate the launch of the RTX 4080 Super, Nvidia are helping r/buildapc conduct a contest, though you could describe it as more of a giveaway. The first thing to do is head on over to this Reddit post, which has all the details you need. If you don’t already have a Reddit account, make sure you create one for the contest.
You’ll be using the PC Part Picker website to create your build of choice – for the value of $3,000 or below. Head on over to site, click ‘Start Your Build, and put your parts together. Don’t forget to include the RTX 4080 Super of course, as this is a requirement. Once done, post your full build in the comments of the Reddit thread using the custom URL at the top of PC Part Picker build page.
Rules for participation in 4080 Super build giveaway
We’ve already said that you’ll definitely need an RTX 4080 Super in your custom build to be considered a participant by Nvidia, but what else do you need to know? Well, the rules are detailed quite clearly in the post, though there are Terms & Conditions to consider as well if you need a full rundown of the requirements such as eligible regions, entry period, and judging process.
Some basic rules include that you need to be at or under $3,000 USD and you cannot include peripherals such as a keyboard or headset. The build should also include a full list of parts, which are ideally compatible with each other.
