Every year on March 10, Nintendo hosts a celebration called Mar10 Day (get it?). In recognition of this celebration, popular retailers are holding sales on a slew of Mario products—including video games. Digital versions of Mario games are on sale now for $20 off retail, which is a pretty enticing reason to pick up a new game to play.
You can’t go wrong with classics like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Party Superstars… Unless you and the other players are the competitive type, in which case bonds will be tested.
Creative types should take a look at Super Mario Maker 2, which allows you to create, share, and play courses made by other users. It also features a single-player story mode if you wanted a more traditional experience. And speaking of creativity: while Yoshi’s Crafted World doesn’t technically star Mario, it is set in the same world—if that world was made entirely of adorable yarn.
If you enjoy sports games, check out Mario Golf: Super Rush and Mario Tennis Aces, which add some of the Super Mario pizzazz to the standard golf and tennis formats.

There’s also a huge selection of Mario-themed products for sale at Amazon, including special editions of popular board games like Monopoly and The Game of Life, LEGO sets, clothes, and more. One of my top picks is the wired Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, which features a green glow in the dark pattern of Toad set on a black background.
