Insta360 Ace Pro With 1/1.3-Inch Sensor And Flip-Up Screen Launched: Check Price And Specifications Here

Insta360 has launched two new action cameras with a flippable touchscreen. These include the Insta360 Ace and Insta360 Ace Pro. As the name suggests, the Pro variant has a better lens and supports fast wired charging. However, the regular version, with its capable sensor and a host of recording modes, provides enough value. Here’s everything you need to know about the new action cameras from Insta360.

Insta360 Ace And Ace Pro Specifications

Insta360 Ace Pro with 1/2-inch sensor

The all-new Insta360 Ace comes with a 1/2-inch sensor with a f/2.4 aperture. The Insta360 Ace Pro, on the other hand, has a larger 1/1.3-inch sensor with f/2.6 aperture. Both models have a focal length of 16mm and a maximum resolution of 48MP.

While the Pro model can record 16:9 videos in up to 8K resolution at 24 frames per second, the vanilla Insta360 Ace can record 16:9 videos at a maximum resolution of 6K at 24 frames per second. Both models have a 2.4-inch touchscreen that can be flipped to use as a small viewfinder or monitor.

Both action cameras can record 4:3 videos in FreeFrame at a resolution of 4K at 60 frames per second and PureView 16:9 videos at 4K with 30 frames per second. Further, both models can shoot slow-motion videos at 4K (16:9) at up to 120 frames per second. Under the hood, the devices run on a 5nm chipset.

Other video modes include Active HDR, Starlpase, Timelapse, TimeShift, Pre-Recording, and Loop Recording. The audio modes include Wind Reduction, Stereo, and Direct Focus; both models come with three microphones. The photo modes available include HDR Photo, Interval, and Burst Photo.

The ISO range for both variants is 100 – 6400, while the Shutter Speed ranges between 1/8000s to 120s. With the high shutter speed, users can click photographs of any rapid action, while the slow shutter speed could help them capture excellent long-exposure shots. Neither of the cameras has in-built storage, but both support external microSD cards of up to 1TB.

Insta360 Ace charging

While the Insta360 Pro has a 1,650 mAh battery, the Insta360 Ace ships with a slightly larger 1,700 mAh battery. Nonetheless, the company promises a 100-minute runtime for both models. However, the Pro variant supports 30W fast charging and takes about 46 minutes, while the regular model takes about 70 minutes.

Both models’ water-resistance ratings are 10 meters and 60 meters with a Dive Case. Connectivity options on the action cameras include Bluetooth v5.2, 5GHz Wi-Fi, and a USB-C port. Last, the Insta360 Ace and 360 Ace Pro are compatible with Android (version 10.0 or above) and iOS (version 12.0 and above).

Other features include a Stats Dashboard, AI Highlights Assistant, AI Warp, AI Selfie Stick Eraser, and a new magnetic mount system.
