We often see people asking ‘when is the next Steam sale?‘ Well, the answer to that is: right now. The Spring Sale is currently taking place, spanning from March 14th until March 21st. Some of the most popular games on the market are having their price slashed and we’ve hand-picked a few.
It’s now the perfect time to grab that game you’ve been meaning to play, but just didn’t fancy paying full price for. With that in mind, we’ve picked out some impressive deals that may be of interest to you during this big sales event.
Our top 5 deals from the Steam Spring Sale 2024
Below we’ve put together a list of top picks. There’s a good range here, hopefully with something for everyone. All of these deals are part of the Spring Sale, and as such, will only be on offer until the 21st of March. Check them out before it’s too late!
All pricing history information is courtesy of SteamDB.
Divinity: Original Sin 2
We picked out Divinity because it’s from the same creators as Baldur’s Gate 3. With the massive success of BG3, we figured that some of you would like to go back and try out one of Larian Studio’s older titles. Usually priced at $44.99, it now costs just $13.49 thanks to the 70% discount.
Slay the Spire
Perhaps the best fusion of card games and roguelikes we’ve ever seen, Slay the Spire definitely fits a niche, plus you can run it on a toaster (or your Steam Deck). It is currently 66% off in the Spring Sale, now selling for $8.49 – this matches its lowest ever price, way down from the usual $24.99.
Resident Evil 2
Next up is Resident Evil 2, a remake of the classic 1998 title. This is one of those single player games that you may have just not gotten around to playing yet, or you just didn’t care for the remake at full price. Now with 75% off, it costs just $9.99 and is a great experience for a bargain price.
Red Dead Redemption 2
RDR2 remains one of the best single player experiences on the market, a visual treat with plenty of awards under its belt. Maybe something that you haven’t bothered to try out yet, perhaps outside of your usual genre. It’s now just under $20 ($19.79) during the Spring Sale – making it worth a try.
BattleBit Remastered
Looking for a new multiplayer game instead? Then BattleBit is a great choice. This came out not too long ago in June 2023, but is now a clean 50% off and costs just $7.49. It’s essentially a low-poly rendition of the popular Battlefield series, making the system requirements no hassle at all.
Which offers the best value?
Deciding on which offers the best value for you is more of a personal choice, since we don’t exactly know what kind of games you’re most interested in. However, the biggest saving of them all, percentage wise, would be Resident Evil 2 at 75% off.
We definitely think that the RE2 Remake is worth giving a go, even if you’ve never played the originals. Who knows, it may even lead you to picking up the RE3 and RE4 remakes as well, both of which are also on sale during the Steam Spring Sale.
