Struggling to find the perfect present this year for the gamer in your life? Why not gift the gift of Corsair this holiday season? Corsair is a company that offers a very varied range of products across the gaming space, many of them featuring in our best-of guides each year. This includes components vital to any PC build, like PC cases, power supplies, RAM, and SSDs, but they’re perhaps most widely known for their range of peripherals, including keyboards, mice, and headsets. The acquisition of brands like SCUF and Elgato has also widened the scope of the business to include high-end gamepads and dedicated tools for streamers.
Virtually all of Corsair’s peripherals, plus the relevant products of the brands they’ve acquired, are compatible with their iCUE software, which is one of the best applications of its kind around. If you have multiple Corsair products it allows for a fully conjoined Corsair ecosystem with a synchronised RGB setup.
Take a look below for some fantastic ideas for the perfect products to complete your gaming setup this holiday season.
Corsair peripherals for every need this holiday period
If you’re in the market for a new mouse, keyboard, or headset this December, take a gander below for some fine selections:
Gaming Chairs
First on the list is the stunning TC100 Gaming chair, with its sleek racing-inspired lines designed for full-body support. It’s packed full of features, including a steep recline when you want to kick back and relax and 2D adjustable armrests. It also includes lumbar and neck pillows to keep you feeling snug whether you’re in the middle of a gaming session or work meeting. Plus, it’s covered by Corsair’s two-year warranty.
Mice
Corsair have an excellent range of gaming mice, covering all the different price points depending on what your needs and budget are. There are different models that are better suited for different games. The Corsair Sabre RGB Pro is a lightweight model with an exceptionally high polling rate that’s ideal for first-person shooters, whereas the Scimitar RGB Elite is designed for MMOs specifically, with a huge number of buttons and programmable macro functionality.
Monitors
There are a number of great Corsair deals if you’re looking to upgrade your set up. Firstly, if you’re looking to make a statement, look no further than the XENEON FLEX 45WQHD240. Just as the name suggests, this beast features a 45-inch bendable display – with a 3440 x 1440, 240Hz display. With a brilliant 1000nit peak HDR brightness, this XENEON is certainly a flex when it comes to showing off your gaming station. If you’re after something a bit more subtle, then why take a gander at the XENEON 27QHD240. It’s perfectly sized for nearly any set up, while its stunning OLED display ensures a perfect picture every time.
Keyboards
Corsair keyboards have come on leaps and bounds in recent years, and 2023 saw many great releases. Of particular note is the Corsair K70 Core mechanical keyboard which we got a chance to put through its paces in our hands-on review. It’s a great affordable option with many of the features you’d expect to find in a more expensive board, including Corsair Red switches that come pre-lubed, great RGB options, and respectable build quality overall. Besides this there’s also the more premium-end Corsair K70 Max, which we’ve also reviewed, plus the Corsair K55 Pro XT is a nice affordable option.
Headsets
There are a sizable range of Corsair gaming headsets on the market. We recently reviewed the Corsair Virtuoso Pro which was an impressive high-end set, yet still available at a relatively affordable price. Other offerings include the Corsair HS80 MAX wireless gaming headset and the budget-friendly Corsair HS70 Pro.
The ultimate customizable controllers: the mighty SCUF gamepad series
SCUF are a well known brand for high-end controllers made for either console users or PC gamers that prefer gamepad use. These premium devices offer superb functionality and ergonomic design well above that of more commonplace offerings, and they’re now fully compatible with Corsair iCUE software for detailed custom button mapping and RGGB setup. Read below for three different models that would make the ideal addition to your gaming setup this December.
SCUF Envision & SCUF Envision Pro (PC only)
The SCUF Envision and Envision Pro are premium handsets designed for PC users specifically. They have an incredible level of customization and advanced microswitches for each button/bumper and directional control, giving a nice clicky feedback. They’re arguably the best gamepads available from any brand, though they do come at a premium price tag.
The Pro variant of this handset differs from the standard one in that it’s wireless, comes with hair-trigger switches, and has improved texturing on the grips, although if none of this matters to you the standard SUC Envision is around $40 cheaper based on its MSRP.
SCUF Reflex
The SCUF Reflex is an upgraded PS5 controller design, but it’s also compatible with PCs too. This premium offering allows for extensive button remapping, lots of custom aesthetic design options, plus an excellent grip.
SCUF Instinct
The SCUF Instinct is similar to the Reflex in terms of functionality, customization, and overall quality, except that it’s built to the form factor of an Xbox Series X controller. You can also use it for your PC as well though should you wish.
Build the perfect streaming setup this Christmas with Elgato products
Elgato offer unique peripherals specifically designed with streamers in mind. Again these have the additional advantage of being fully compatible with Corsair iCUE software but also come with their own software.
Elgato StreamDeck / StreamDeck+
A StreamDeck is essentially an array of buttons or other controls that can be programmed with different macros to make the life of a streamer that much easier – from easy commands like changing inputs or pause/play to more complex processes – all at the touch of a button. The buttons themselves on Elgato StreamDecks can have different custom images assigned to them so you aren’t left guessing about what they do.
The Elgato StreamDeck actually encompasses a range of products with different sizes and functionality levels, though all use the same Stream Deck software. These include the Elgato Stream Deck Mini, which is the cheapest and smallest option (as you’d expect), which is limited to 6 LCD buttons but still retains all the same software functionality, the standard Elgato Stream Deck (which is now in its MK.2 variant) that comes with 15 buttons plus a USB-C with detachable cable and swappable faceplates to fit your color scheme, the Elgato Stream Deck+ which has only 8 dedicated keys but an additional touch screen and four programmable dials, the Elgato Stream Deck XL which is essentially just a larger version of the standard Elgato Stream Deck but with more buttons (32 to be exact), and finally the Elgato Stream Deck Mobile app, which is just the software element of the product on your phone. You can also pick up the Elgato Stream Deck Pedal (which is actually composed of three different pedal sections) for hands-free control.
Elgato Prompter
The Elgato Prompter is essentially a version of your classic teleprompter, as used by TV presenters for decades, but in a convenient miniaturised form and fully compatible with streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube. The obvious use of this is to enable streamers to read their chat feed more conveniently, without having to turn away from the screen, though the monitor and reflective prompter can be used for other purposes besides.
