Adobe Launches New AI Assistant for Acrobat

By now most of us are dabbling with generative AI to help fast-track the more tedious parts of our jobs and lives. Once you get over the learning hurdle, it really does save an incredible amount of time, but one downfall is having to log in to an external application to copy and paste text back and forth.

Adobe has just launched an AI Assistant for Acrobat that eliminates that bit of friction. It puts gen AI’s biggest strengths at your disposal as you’re creating or navigating PDF documents and more.

Here are just a few of the perks.

Accurate Document Summaries and Answers

When you receive a lengthy, text-heavy document, it can feel overwhelming—you often spend an outsized amount of time just trying to decipher what the document is about and where to start.

With AI Assistant for Acrobat, you can get a one-click summary of the document or ask the AI assistant questions to get the answers you need. If those answers include external information, Adobe’s custom attribution engine will identify the source.

Use AI Assistant in a Wide Range of Documents

When you subscribe to Adobe’s AI Assistant, you can access it across a wide range of document formats including Word, PowerPoint, and meeting transcripts.

Across all these formats, you can ask AI to consolidate information to create takeaways for emails, overview slides for presentations, or executive summaries of reports.

Strong Security Protocols

Gen AI learns from the content it works with—it’s a feature, not a bug. But it does mean that you need to be aware of the security protocols built into any gen AI application you use.

When you use AI Assistant in Reader and Acrobat, you can rest assured that your data will be respected and protected. Adobe has strong security protocols that ensure no document content is stored or used for training AI Assistant without your consent.

Unlike some of the gen AI apps, AI Assistant for Adobe is very affordable. Get early-access pricing until June 4 when you add AI Assistant to an Acrobat seven-day free trial. Sign up for your free trial here
