Vivo V30 launched with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 & IP54 rating


After a tonne of rumors and teasers, Vivo has added another smartphone to its V-series lineup with Vivo V30. The phone offers a premium design coupled with 50MP cameras, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC under the hood, and a 6.78” 1.5K display. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest V-series addition.

Vivo V30 Pricing and Availability

Vivo V30 will be announced in 30+ markets including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, the UAE, Egypt, Pakistan, and Singapore to name a few. Unfortunately, you will have to wait for the official update on the pricing for each market on their respective country’s website.

Vivo V30 Specifications & Features

Vivo V30 is a well-designed phone available in four colors. Its Waving Aquas has a rippling magnetic particle effect, the Bloom White has a 3D petal pattern, the Noble Black color has Glourite AG Glass and finally, the Lush Green has a color-changing pattern.

Vivo V30 has been announced with a 6.78” AMOLED 3D curved glass panel boosting 1.5K resolution. The display breathes at a 120Hz of refresh rate and a blasts peak brightness of up to 2,800 nits (which is huge) making it a perfect phone to use even under direct sunlight. The phone is also wrapped with an IP54 rating for water and dust which is good given the potential price segment.

Under the hood, we get a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, the most happening 7-series chipset clocked at a max 2.63GHz. It has a usual 1+3+4 CPU architecture and is fabbed on a 4nm node. The GPU is an Adreno 720 GPU that offers 50% more power compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. It also has up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The Chinese smartphone maker has equipped V30 with a 3,002mm2 vapor chamber that keeps the phone at a breezing temperature even when it is doing all the tough processing. It is also equipped with 11 temperature sensors that collectively enable smoother performance on the device.

Android 14-powered FuntouchOS 14 handles the software. Vivo has promised at least 4 years’ worth of software support. On the optics front, we get a 50MP front properly tucked in a centrally placed punch-hole cut-out. At the rear, we get a 50MP OmniVision OV50E primary sensor paired with a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus completing its dual camera setup.
