Trump Says Altered Kate Middleton Pic ‘Shouldn’t Be a Big Deal’

  • Donald Trump weighed in on the controversy over an altered photo of Kate Middleton.
  • He said it “shouldn’t be a big deal’ because “everybody doctors” photos of themselves.
  • The edited photo from Buckingham Palace had prompted speculation about Middleton’s health.

Former President Donald Trump is weighing in on the controversy over a doctored photo of Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.

“Well, that shouldn’t be a big deal, because everybody doctors,” Trump said in an interview with British politician Nigel Farage on GB News, a right-leaning news channel in the United Kingdom.

Trump cited his experience meeting “movie actors” and often wondering if it’s “the same person in the picture”

“It was a very minor doctoring,” said Trump. “I don’t understand why there could be such a howl over that.”

On March 10, Kensington Palace released a digitally altered photo of the princess, prompting news wire services to issue a rare “mandatory kill” order and refuse to publish the image.

It came amid broad speculation about Middleton’s health following abdominal surgery in January. She has seldom been seen in public since an official appearance on Christmas Day 2023, and the doctored photo only added to the frenzy.

“It’s a rough period, that — you know, they’re really going after her,” said Trump.

In a statement the next day, Middleton attributed the incident to her own amateur photography habits.

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing,” said Middleton. “I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.
