The new Samsung 990 EVO SSD is designed to enhance everyday computing tasks such as gaming, work, and photo/video editing. Samsung unveils new powerful SSD 990 EVO
When compared to its predecessor, the new Samsung 990 EVO SSD brings a 43% performance improvement. It has sequential read speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 4,200 MB/s, along with enhanced random read and write speeds, the SSD delivers efficient performance.
The new SSD features a technology dubbed Host Memory Buffer (HMB). With this feature, the SSD directly links to the host processor’s DRAM. It optimizes performance even without DRAM. The 990 EVO promises faster game loading and quicker access to large files when upgrading from a previous mainstream SSD. The new model is also more power efficient with a 70% increment in energy-saving upgrades. The SSD 990 EVO extends the use of PCs and Laptops. It supports the Modern Standby feature ensuring quick device resumption from sleep, even in the low-power mode.
The Samsung 990 EVO comes with a heat spreader label that regulates the thermal contents. Moreover, it enables consistent high-level operations without bringing harm to the drive. The SSD offers support for Samsung Magician software for streamlining SSD upgrades, data migration, security, drive health monitoring, and timely firmware updates. It also offers a five-year Limited Warranty.
