Samsung Galaxy M15 5G Had its Battery Details Revealed in Certification

Samsung is gearing up to launch a new M-series smartphone for the low-end segment. The device in question will be dubbed Samsung Galaxy M15 5G and today it had some of its battery details revealed. The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G with model number (SM-M156B) passed Dekra, BIS, and Safety Korea certifications with a rated capacity of 5,880mAh. Since the rated battery is depicted as this, the typical capacity in this phone should be at the 6,000 mAh capacity. It would match the phone’s predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy M14 that launched last year.

Samsung Galaxy M15 5G Coming with 6000 mAh Battery

The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G battery comes with the EB-BM156ABY model number. The certification also confirms support for 25W fast charging. This is a standard charging speed for most of Samsung Galaxy smartphones, except for those in the premium segment. With 6,000 mAh capacity, the Galaxy M15 5G should offer an entire day of usage for its users. It may take more than one hour to charge at a 25W rate. It is still acceptable considering the phone’s target at the low-end segment.

The Galaxy M15 5G is expected to share some of the specifications with the Galaxy A15 5G. The recently-released low-end phone boasts a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. It also has a 50 MP main camera and the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset at the helm.

Samsung is yet to announce a launch timeline for the M15 5G. However, the Dekra certification is a good hint that the launch in European markets draws near. We can say the same for the Indian market. The phone also passed through the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification.

According to the EMVCO certification, the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G will come with Android 14 straight out of the box, and we can confirm One UI 6 will be running atop.
