Dual Band VHF (136-174MHz) & UHF (400-480MHz)

The BTECH DMR-6X2 PRO is the most versatile dual-band DMR radio available. Designed for both amateur and commercial usage with its large, bright 1.77″ color TFT display. The DMR-6X2 PRO can store 4,000 Channels with 10,000 Talk Groups, and 500,000 Contacts.

The frequency range is 136-174MHz and 400-480 MHz. The DMR-6X2 PRO has a maximum output of 7W on VHF, and 6W on UHF. The DMR-6X2 PRO includes a built in GPS and audio recorder.

The DMR-6X2 PRO Supports: Digital and Analog APRS (TX & RX), GPS Roaming, and Bluetooth

Analog and DMR APRS Supported

The DMR-6X2 PRO with the ability of the built-in GPS; can send and RECEIVE both Analog and Digital APRS Packets.

Analog APRS is editable right on the radio menu without having to use programming software. Received APRS packets can be stored for downloading to a PC with CPS (in development).

With Digital APRS; your current location will be sent as an APRS beacon*. This feature is set up through the free programming software and detailed in the software download.

Analog and Digital SMS sending and receiving is possible with the DMR-6X2 PRO. The radio will retain the last 256 messages received and sent.

GPS Based Roaming

The DMR-6X2 PRO has GPS based roaming which can include Analog and Digital Channels

Once you set the starting “point” (which can be based on a geographical location via Latitude and Longitude, and set a radius from that point,) the roaming will start when you go outside the radius you set.

Out of range alarms can be set, along with “Auto Roaming”.

Bluetooth Interface

Bluetooth PTT (PTT Button included): Pair to popular Bluetooth Headsets, and ear buds for ease of operation.

Various operational combinations with Bluetooth devices can be set via Software, or the front panel.

Fully Customize your Display, True Adhoc Channels, and Full AES256 Digital Encryption

Selectable Daytime, Nighttime, or Custom Display

Exclusively on the DMR-6X2 PRO: Easily adjust and customize the DMR-6X2 PRO to display between a ‘vibrant blue’ or ‘contrasting black’ themed modes, or use your own custom background images.

The black display mode is easier on the eyes during nighttime operation.

The onscreen menu makes toggling between the two a breeze!

Each text item on the display can have the color of the text changed- displays can be changed “on the fly” to adjust for different viewing conditions via the menu on the radio

True Adhoc (on-the-fly) Group/Private Calling

The DMR-6X2 PRO has the ability to store 4000 channels and 10,000 talk-groups; but you still may want to call a new talk-group (without saving it to memory) or maybe traveling and using a new repeater; this is when adhoc becomes very useful.

Simply holding ‘0’ on the keypad will allow you to dial a new group (or private call). The DMR-6X2 PRO will display the Adhoc contact and type right on the main display until you change the channel.

AES Encryption Capability for Commercial Use

Full AES256 Encryption capability available for commercial use (not for use with USA Amateur Radio operation). Capability of Copy and Paste of encryption keys to ensue correct data is set in each radio via Software.

AES256 is compatible with other DMR radios from other brands

Beyond Your Average DMR Radio

DMR Digital Store & Forward Repeater

The DMR-6X2 PRO has a built in recording chip which is utilized in the Store and Forward Repeater Mode (Not compatible in Analog mode)

Once toggled the DMR-6X2 PRO will store and forward conversations on the same band or even as a cross band repeater. It records the incoming audio and once the signal drops – it will forward the audio to the assigned frequency (and vice versa). The DMR-6X2 PRO will even allow you to store and forward on the same frequency.

The Store and Forward repeater can be assigned as a side key function from programming software. It is compatible with: VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF, VHF/UHF, and UHF/VHF.

Adjustable Scanning Features

The DMR-6X2 PRO allows you to be in full control of your channel scanning lists. With up to 250 channels in a zone (and up to 4,000 channels in the radio); the ability to adjust your scanning bank (by adding or grouping scanning channels (and banks) together) allows you to have the perfect adjustment to the size of your channel list. This allows you to customize the scanning preferences to fit your needs.

You can scan a single channel list, and monitor a high priority channel (the DMR-6X2 PRO will check back on the priority channel in between the normal scanning channels); or if you want to monitor the most traffic – you can combine scan lists together and scan through multiple linked lists together.

There are so many ways to customize your DMR-6X2 PRO with our free programming software!

Amateur users can easily create, import, and customize pre-made DMR channel and contact templates available online and sometimes available in your local amateur club. You can also generate your own .csv list to easily import your favorite channels right into the software.

The DMR-6X2 PRO software can even open and use AT-D868UV and AT-D878UV codeplugs.

Additional Highlights

We tried to think of the simplest way to use the DMR-6X2 PRO; even down to how text messaging works. Instead of going through a menu to reply when you get a text message; you can simply hit reply to the received text message.

As a radio designed and focused for USA businesses and consumers; the DMR-6X2 PRO uses imperial (metric selectable) measurements while using the GPS display modes.

Using your favorite talk groups in DMR is now easier. By manually dialing a talk group, the DMR-6X2 PRO will hold the talk group indefinitely until you change the channel. You can also set your maximum talk group hold time to ‘infinity’ while communicating with your favorite group or user (avoiding ‘timing out’).

In Analog mode the DMR-6X2 PRO allows for CTCSS (PL/Privacy Tones), DCS, 2-Tone, DTMF, and 5-Tone. You can use multiple 5Tone, 2Tone, and DTMF receive and transmit groups for different channels (allowing commercial users to use several tone profiles from one radio).
