At World’s End reveals how Davy Jones went from human to octopus sometime between 1600 and 1660 when he fell in love with Calypso and received the Flying Dutchman. This is around the time that he betrayed Calypso and ended up carving out his own heart and locking it in the Dead Man’s Chest. This could have been the end of the Caribbean timeline, two more movies followed.

The story takes place one year after the previous movie, meaning its place in the timeline was 1751. In it, Captain Armando Salazar, a literal pirate hunter seeks revenge, as Jack tricked him into the Devil’s Triangle in 1708. This was ironically also the same year Will Turner was born. The movie was released in 2017.

Pirates of the Caribbean 6: The Margot Robbie Spinoff
Disney has not officially announced anything about its plans for the Caribbean franchise. There are theories that Pirates of the Caribbean 6 might be a reboot or a spin-off. Back in 2018, Disney confirmed that there will be a new Caribbean movie but no details have been made official to date. It is confirmed that Joachim Ronning will direct the upcoming film and Craig Mazin and Ted Elliot will pen the script.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Margot Robbie Spin-off
Apart from the 6th movie, a franchise spinoff starring Margot Robbie and scripted by Birds of Prey screenwriter Christina Hodson was announced in 2020. But ever since then, there has been no news about this one as well.
