Stop us if you’ve heard this before, but here are the first CAD-based press renders of the Nothing Phone (2a), courtesy of @OnLeaks and SmartPrix.
Unlike the first batch, which proved fake, this batch of a Dark Gray Phone (2a) should be the real deal.
For one, the camera design matches the ‘Fresh Eyes.’ teaser that accompanied the phone’s announcement reveal – coming on March 5.
The renders also reveal the three-part Glyph interface around the camera island. There’s a ribbon cable snaking its way down the bottom of the phone as well.
The Nothing Phone (2a) has a flat frame with three metal buttons – a power button on the right and twin volume buttons on the left.
Rumor has it, the two cameras on the back are the 50MP ISOCELL S5KG9 for the wide angle, and the 50MP ISOCELL JN1 behind the ultrawide. The front camera is reportedly a 32MP unit.
The screen is expected to be a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. The battery size is rumored to be 5,000mAh with 45W charging. As for the size, expect a phone that’s 161.7mm x 76.3mm x 8.55mm and weighs 190g.
Nothing confirmed that the Phone (2a) will premiere the custom Dimensity 7200 Pro chip – co-developed with MediaTek, it will be 18% faster than the Snapdragon 778G-equipped Phone (1) while drawing 16% less power. The Dimensity 7200 Pro is a 4nm SoC, fabbed on TSMC’s second-generation process.
SmartPrix suggests that the Nothing Phone (2a) will start under INR 25,000 (€280, £240).
Finally, here is a blotchy photo of the Nothing Phone (2a) in the wild.
