Nothing Phone (2a) is launching soon and ahead of its launch at Mobile World Congress 2024 we got hold of its camera and display specs, colorways, and official wallpapers. Here’s what we know about the upcoming budget mid-range phone so far.
Nothing Phone (2a) Camera Specs Leaked
We once again partnered with tipster Kamila, to give you some exclusive key specs for the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a). The Nothing Phone 2a features a dual camera setup possibly arranged horizontally. It houses a primary camera – 50MP Samsung S5KGN9 shooter with 1/1.5” sensor size and 1.0micron pixel size. This is the same snapper we earlier saw with Moto G84. There’s a secondary 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultrawide camera with 1/2.76” sensor size and 0.64micron pixel size. For reference, this is the same setup as the Moto G84, and even the Nothing Phone (1) (review) and Phone (2) (review) are using the same sensor.
Finally, we get a 32MP Sony IMX615 front camera setup (the same as the OnePlus 10) housed in a tiny punch-hole cut-out. Note that earlier reports hinted towards a 16MP front camera, however, the tipster says it is likely a binned 16MP cam value or simply incorrect/placeholder.
Nothing Phone (2a) Leaked Display Specs
We haven’t heard much about Nothing Phone (a2) although a sketch showcasing its rear display was tipped a few days ago. The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC-powered phone is likely to sport a 120Hz AMOLED panel boasting a resolution of 1084×2412 pixels. The panel manufactured by China’s Visionox and BOE has a model number rm692h5 as per the latest information we came across thanks to the courtesy of tipster Kamila. Previously, the Nothing Phone (2a) was hinted to feature a 6.7” display on the front.
Nothing Phone (2a) Availability
The Nothing Phone (2) was originally launched in three SKUs i.e. Pong for global, PongIND for India, and PongEEA for European markets. Cut to Phone (2a), it will be available in four regions. The four models are called PacmanIND (India), PacmanJPN (Japan), PacmanEEA (Europe), and Pacman (global). It goes on to show that Nothing Phone (2a) will have a wider availability than the standard sub-flagship Phone (2).
Additionally, you can choose between two colorways i.e. Black and White. There’s a likelihood that only one of the two colors will be available at launch while the other will join the wagon soon although let’s keep our fingers crossed for now.
Nothing Phone (2a) Official Wallpapers
We were the first to showcase the exclusive Google Pixel 8a first look and wallpapers. We now also have managed to get hold of Nothing Phone 2a official wallpapers. The Nothing Phone 2a will come with seven wallpapers that are dubbed as ‘Ruxe’, ‘Nexul’, ‘Azunim White’, ‘Orbique’, ‘Rubrane Black’, ‘Ambra’, and ‘Virmar’.
All these wallpapers show a colorful, playful, and modernistic vibe teasing the upcoming midrange phone. Using these wallpapers will transform your Nothing Phone (2a) giving it a fresh look. Here, the black variant will be using Rubrane Black wallpaper while the white colored Phone (2a) will be using Azunim White wallpaper by default.
Nothing Phone (2a) Launch Date
Nothing Phone (2a) will make itself official at the “Nothing to See” event at the MWC 2024 scheduled on February 27 in Barcelona. We might see Nothing Phone (3) making a splash, although the first one is certain.
