Samsung recently introduced two new entries in its latest Galaxy A series- the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 in the UK and European markets. Now, Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A35 for US markets.
Starting at $400, the Galaxy A35 is now officially available for purchase in the US via Samsung.com, Samsung’s retail stores, and other retailers. The smartphone is available in two color options- Awesome Lilac and Awesome Navy. There is no word on the Samsung Galaxy A55 US availability at this time. Samsung packs decent features in its $400 mid-range smartphone. Let’s delve into the details.
Starting with the processor, the Galaxy A35 is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is further expandable up to 1TB. It is the same processor Samsung packed in the Galaxy A54 smartphone. However, the processor is powerful enough to tackle all your everyday tasks and casual gaming sessions. It runs on the latest Android 14 based on Samsung’s One UI 5.1 out of the box. As for the updates, the brand promises four major Android updates and five years of security patch updates. That’s quite impressive. Other brands hardly manage to offer a year or two software updates for mid-range smartphones but Samsung is offering straight four years of support which is great.
Like other mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A35 also boasts a 5,000mAh battery with only 25W fast charging support. There’s also an IP67 water and dust-resistant rating support that protects the smartphone in wet weather conditions.
For the lenses, you get a triple rear camera setup at the back – similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S24 premium smartphone – featuring a 50MP primary camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP macro camera. The 13MP camera on the front lets you capture bright and crisp selfies.
The Galaxy A35 has a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ panel with 120Hz refresh rate support. For the first time, Samsung armed the Galaxy A series devices with the Samsung Knox Vault security system that keeps the smartphone safe from malicious attacks.
At $400, Samsung is offering a pretty solid package. There are also some launch offers available that make the phone even more affordable. For more details head to Samsung’s official website.
