Google Pixel 9 Pro Live Images Showcase Triple Rear Camera and New Camera Visor

The Google Pixel 9 Pro, the next iteration of Google’s Pixel series, is still months away from its official launch. The company’s Pixel 8 series is yet to be unveiled at Google I/O ‘24. However, leaks and rumors continue to surface.

Earlier, @OnLeaks provided complete renders of the Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. Now, thanks to Roketked, a Russian media blog, we have a glimpse of the live images of the Pixel 9 Pro.

The live images of the Pixel 9 Pro match the renders that we witnessed earlier. The Pixel 9 Pro drops the continuous camera visor in favor of a long camera island that houses a 5x periscope lens.

The Pixel 9 Pro is a new model in the series and not a successor to the Pixel 8 Pro. Measuring 6.1 inches diagonally, it falls in the “compact flagship” category. The Pixel 9 Pro XL measures 6.7 inches diagonally, and is expected to succeed the Pixel 8 Pro that we have today.

The live images showcase the Pixel 9 Pro against the iPhone 14 Pro Max, to give you a reference to its size. From the camera island that we can see, the Pixel 9 Pro will have a triple rear camera setup and also the temperature sensor that we have on the Pixel 8 Pro.

Further details about the Pixel 9 Pro include the Tensor G4, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128 GB base storage. Additionally, the device will be equipped with the latest Exynos Modem 5400, enabling Satellite Connectivity and offering improved efficiency compared to the previous generation.

Expect the Google Pixel 9 Pro to be announced in October 2024, with a possible preview at Google I/O ‘24 in May. What are your thoughts on the Pixel 9 Pro’s design? Let us know in the comments section below.
