Well, Samsung has confirmed that it won’t be ignoring the Chinese consumers on the Galaxy AI features of the Galaxy S24 series. So, the company is relying on Baidu’s AI model for offering the new features of the latest smartphones.

Well, a good number of functions of Samsung Galaxy AI does rely on Google’s Gemini Pro. That includes summarization, translation, and generation. But in China, all these functions will be powered by a model called Ernie. It’s from Baidu, which is a Chinese multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services.
As showcased by the screenshots attached above, the Galaxy AI with Baidu will offer the same functionality. The smartphones will even come with “Circle To Search,” which is heavily promoted by Google. Google even brought the feature to its own Pixel 8 Pro.
