Consumer Electronics Show 2024 is currently taking place in Las Vegas. It is a 4-day event happening from 9th January to 12th January 2024 wherein technology brands from all over the world are showcasing various exciting and innovative products and inventions. Though tomorrow is officially the last day of CES, a majority of launches have already taken place during the first 2 days.
In this article, we have rounded up some of the most exciting announcements that have happened during the CES 2024.
1. Televisions at CES 2024 (Transparent & Non-Transparent)
LG and Samsung have unveiled their transparent Televisions. LG has announced the first ever transparent TV which it has been teasing for the past few years. It is a 77-inch OLED T- Transparent TV that is wireless as well.
Samsung has also launched its transparent display, but it is more of a concept and less of a product as of now.
Other non-transparent TVs have been launched by brands like TCL, LG, and Samsung, some of which also have AI. TCL has launched QM891G which is the biggest Mini LED TV ever. Hisense has launched 110UX which is not the biggest but is surely the brightest LED TV. It can touch 10,000 nits peak brightness. LG has also announced CineBeam Qube which is a 4k home theater projector. Samsung’s Premiere 8K is not only a laser projector but it is wireless and comes with a 100W speaker setup.
2. New CPUs, GPUs and Chipsets
Nvidia has announced its Super lineup of GeForce RTX 40 Super Series GPUs. It includes the following models-
- GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER
- GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
- GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER
AMD has announced the next generation of CPUs and GPUs. It includes Ryzen 800G Series desktop processors and Ryezen 5000 series processors as well. The chipmaker has also showcased the Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU that will be available from January 24.
Intel has also unveiled its next-generation CPU family during CES 2024. The 14th generation CPU family namely the HX Series chips will give even faster and more efficient performance. It includes a Core i9-14900HX laptop chip, Core i7-14700HX chip, Intel Core 7 150U chip, and Core 5 120U chipsets. Click here to read more.

4. AI-related announcements
AI is the future and the same could be seen during CES 2024 as Artificial Intelligence was a part of every brand’s innovation list-
- Lenovo’s Magic Bay Robot lets you snap on a webcam or light via pogo pins to the top of one of its laptops. It changes facial expressions as it watches you from above the display.
- Rabbit R1 is a 199 USD device that simplifies tasks done on a smartphone. These include ordering food, booking tickets, streaming music, and more.
- Samsung showcased its Ballie AI Robot which is a personal assistant updated with a new design, onboard projector, and AI features. The robot can act like your pet and walk with you when needed. The brand will also use AI to upscale SD content to 8K resolution on TVs.
- Volkswagen ID7 car is getting ChatGPT integration.
- Microsoft laptops are getting a dedicated AI Key that will help summarize documents, create images, and browse the web for specific info.
- Motion Pillow will use AI to help tackle snoring problems and give a good night’s sleep. It tracks sleep data, and sleep time, and even records snores to play back later.
- Bmind Smart Mirror is the world’s first AI-powered smart mirror that helps with mental wellness through light therapy sessions, guided meditation, and self-affirmations based on one’s mental state.
- Sony drove their car on the stage using a PS5 controller that was fun to watch and gave a glimpse into the future.
- XReal Air 2 Ultra AR Glasses are priced at 699 USD and will go head to head with Meta Quest 3.
- Asus AirVision M1 comes with built-in speakers, a touchpad, 1080p resolution, and more to compete with Apple’s Vision Pro.
5. Asus ROG Phone 8 Series
Asus ROG Phone 8 Series was one of the highlights of CES 2024. The series includes Asus ROG Phone 8 and Phone 8 Pro. The smartphones are powered by Snapdragon 8 gen 3 SoC and feature a 6.78-inch 165Hz AMOLED panel. The devices run Android 14 and are IP68 rated. Under the hood is a 5500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
At the back is a 50MP+32MP camera setup and the difference between the 2 devices is storage and RAM variants.
5. Electric Vehicles
Kia has showcased a new Platform Beyond Vehicles for EVs. The first PBV product is called PV 5, a modular van-like vehicle that comes in 4 variants. There is a PV7 and a PV1 in development too.
Sony and Honda’s upcoming EV Afeela comes with unique features like the ability to change lanes, self-parking, a media bar to support AT navigation, a Smart Entry that will unlock the car when the user looks at it, advanced driving assistance, and much more. There is a huge screen inside the car that will offer all infotainment options.
Bosch has teased in-car eye tracking while driving. The tech will read your eyes and if you have tired eyes, it will command the machine to keep an espresso coffee ready when you reach home.
6. Gaming Accessories
Sony has updated colorways for the PS5 Slim with the matching dual-sense controller. It will be available in cobalt blue, sterling silver, and volcanic red colors.
Lenovo’s eco-friendly mouse and keyboard have been showcased as well. The mouse comes with a hand crank that can be rotated to give a battery while the keyboard comes with solar panels to harvest sunlight to keep it running.
7. Health Monitoring Launches
Various devices have been showcased during the CES 2024 that help in monitoring our health parameters.
- Ultrahuman has announced a home health tracker that is priced at 349 USD. It resembles a WiFi router and comes with various sensors that will monitor levels of natural and artificial light, air pollution, noise, humidity, smoke, and other parameters to gauge home health.
- Movano has launched an Evie smart ring that is wearable with sensors like menstrual health sensors, hormones trackers, energy levels, sleep, and activity trackers.
- LG AI agent is a robotic home manager that can track temperature, humidity, and air quality inside your home. It can connect to smart devices, greet you at the door, and can assess the moods of family members by looking at their faces.
- Withings BeamO is a 4-in-1 health monitoring device that can measure body temperature, blood oxygen, and ECG and serves as a digital stethoscope to monitor the heart and lung functions of an individual. The device can alert in case of health issues like asthma, and COPD, among others.
- Accurate Meditech has announced a cuffless BP monitor for over-the-counter usage. It measures BP, SpO2, and core body temperature.
- Garmin Lily 2 smartwatch is a fashionable yet health-oriented wearable that comes with sleep monitoring, built-in sports apps, heart rate, SpO2, and other sensors.

8. Google and Samsung Partnership
Google and Samsung have announced their collaboration to bring sharing solutions into a singular cross-Android solution under the Quick Share Option. With this option, the user can tap on the quick share icon to see the entire list of nearby devices available. It is safer and easier to share with the Quick Share option. The rollout for the same will start next month.
