Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Guiffre said she was sex trafficked on multiple occasions to Les Wexner and that the billionaire also had sex with minors, according to a newly unsealed deposition.
Guiffre made the allegations in a January 16, 2016, deposition that was recently unsealed among a trove of court records related to the dead pedophile and his sex-trafficking partner Ghislaine Maxwell.
Guiffre, who has said Epstein and Maxwell abused her and trafficked her to others, including Prince Andrew, said in the deposition she was trafficked to Wexner on multiple occasions, “possibly” more than five but not more than 10.
Guiffre said that Wexner also had sex with minors, adding she wanted “justice to happen” and for Wexner to “own up for his wrongs.”
A spokesperson for Wexner shared a statement with Business Insider that said, “Mr. Wexner was unaware of, and was never a participant in, any of the abhorrent behavior engaged in by Epstein against Epstein’s victims, that Mr. Wexner had never met Ms. Guiffre, and that any claims to the contrary were not true.” The spokesperson added that in 2020, representatives for Wexner denied that he was privy to or involved in Epstein’s sex-trafficking activities.
Wexner, the founder of L Brands, which once controlled Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works, hired Epstein as a financial advisor in the 1980s and paid him millions of dollars up until the 2000s. In recent years, the 83-year-old has publicly distanced himself from the dead pedophile, telling employees in 2019 that he’d cut ties with Epstein more than a decade prior. Wexner also said that Epstein had “misappropriated vast sums of money from me and my family,” at least $46 million.
While Wexner’s business ties to Epstein were previously known, specific accusations against him had not been made public. During a press conference in 2019, lawyer Brad Edwards, who previously represented Guiffre and other Epstein victims, said that based on what they knew, Wexner’s claims of not knowing about Epstein’s sexual activities were “very highly likely true.”
Edwards didn’t respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
Business Insider’s Jacob Shamsian previously reported that Wexner was likely “Doe 183” in redacted court documents in the lawsuit between Guiffre and Maxwell.
