The nubia Z60 Ultra is official – it’s a flagship with a unique camera system and, for the first time on a ZTE-made device, IP68 water and dust proofing.
The nubia Z60 Ultra continues the angular design of recent nubia phones like the Z50S Pro. Upfront is a flat 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 1,500 nit peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports a 1,200Hz peak sampling rate and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. Embedded under the display is a 12MP under-display camera with 2.24μm pixels, and a 400ppi pixel density. The UDC camera has its own display chip and an AI deep-sensing engine.
The nubia Z60 Ultra has the latest Snapdragon 8 gen 3 chip paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Being a nubia you’d guess there are some gaming-centric enhancements and you’d be right – inside is an aerospace-grade thermal plate, a large vapor chamber with superconducting nanocarbon fiber. The phone has a dedicated Game Space and tech like Super frame stabilization.
The cameras are a highlight of the Z60 Ultra. The main camera has a 50MP 1/1.49-inch IMX800 sensor and 35mm f/1.6 optically-stabilized lens on top – essentially the same hardware we loved on the nubia Z50S Pro.
For wider shots, the Z60 Ultra packs an 18mm f/1.8 ultrawide with autofocus and 3-level optical stabilization – a unique feature of this type of lens. The sensor behind the ultrawide is a large 1/1.56-inch 50MP unit.
The zoom camera is an 85mm unit with OIS and the popular 64MP 1/2.0-inch OmniVision OV64B imager.
The nubia Z60 Ultra is powered by a 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging. The phone runs Android 14 with nubia’s MyOS on top.
You’ll be able to get the nubia Z60 Ultra in Black, Silver, or Gray, and in four configurations – 8/256GB, 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. Pricing will be revealed soon.
